Fall plays in Anticipation (NES) when a player or computer's token lands on a Drop-Out Square on Level 4. Their token then falls own onto the previous board. The last few staccato notes play when the token that fell lands and bounces on the board below.
The song was composed and arranged by David Wise in 6502 assembly using hexadecimal numbers for notation into the Rare sound driver programmed by Chris Stamper and Mark Betteridge.
