The Gate is a Duke Nukem 3D "total conversion". It is an add-on to the game that replaces all the levels and music, and adds new graphics, enemies, sound effects and weapons.

Music
The music of The Gate was composed by Simon Castles and Jenna Ramsey. It is quite varied and haunting in places, and suits the game well.
Recording
The music still needs to be recorded. If you are able to do so, please contribute!
- - Roland Sound Canvas (SC-55)
- - OPL2 (Sound Blaster / AdLib)
- - Custom SoundFont based on FluidSynth
- There are two versions of E2L4 but only one is used in the game.
- There are two duplicate versions of the same song for E2L5 (as WELC and WMAT)
- There is no song for E4L4 (there is an E4L4NULL.MID but it has no notes).
