Dig It! (DOS)

Dig It! is kind of like what would happen if you converted Dig Dug (ARC) into a platform game. You play the part of Dug Kewl. Upon returning home you discover that your girlfriend, Dougette, has been kidnapped by the Supreme Spurkasaur. Determined to save her, you seek out Spurkasaur with your powerful blaster and drill. Each level is swarming with strange enemies to fight. You blast dinosaurs with your gun, causing them to blow up like balloons. Evil snails can be shot away, but their shells will keep them alive. After finding the X in the ground, you can drill down to the next level. After four worlds of action and treasure hunting you can finally rescue your sweet Dougette.
The game is a little difficult to get used to, and the graphics are blended to the extreme, but the game is still a lot of fun, and it is a tribute to the creative prowess of the Pixel Painters.

Music
Using the Loudness engine, Dig It! has a great techno-sounding score. While the music is a bit up-tempo for the underground cavern atmosphere, it still keeps away any moments that would be dull from silence.

Game Rip
The LDS music files were ripped from the Digit0.XRS file using an unknown program. They were recorded through AdPlug 1.8 in Winamp.
Due to the length of most of the songs, they are only played once instead of twice. Tune 09 and Sad 2 don't end properly in AdPlug and had to be manually edited.
