Cyndi Lauper is an American singer-songwriter and actress who achieved popularity in the mid-1980s. Some of her more popular songs include Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time, and True Colors.
Lauper later also revealed she was the singer to the theme song of the show Pee-Wee's Playhouse, in which she was credited as "Ellen Shaw". She explained that she was worried it may have hurt her career, which is why she used a pseudonym.
