Contra: The Alien Wars (In Europe Protector 2, in Japan 魂斗羅スピリッツ - Contra Spirits) is a game released exclusively for Game Boy, published by Konami and developed by Factor 5 in October 1994 in America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.
This game starts before Contra: Hard Corps (GEN) its story starts 6 years ago, it takes place in 2636, two years after the incident of Super Contra (NES), when the aliens from the previous game they launched a full-scale attack on the ground again. Contra Team's Bill Rizer and Lance Bean arrive in the devastated New City to stop the invasion. Its story is the same as the domestic version of Super Nintendo.

Rudolf Stember did the music and he transfered it to the Game Boy version, it's 10 sound tracks in sequences that can be repeated as GB's audio hardware allows it.
