The Creative Music System was created by Creative specifically for their sound card, the Creative Music System.
While Creative released several song disks with new arranged tunes on them, they never developed a powerful CMS editor, so home users were never able to create their own CMS songs. This prevented the CMS format from ever becoming popular.
For the most accurate CMS playback, use the Creative C/MS Music Player. It was developed by the same company that created both the CMS format and the Creative Music System sound card.
