Bubble Ghost is a non-violent skill game. You have to manouever a bubble out of a castle, which you do by blowing. Being a ghost, you can rotate and hover through all obstacles without being hurt, but the bubble bursts as soon as it touches anything.

The Amiga port was received slightly better than the Atari ST original. At least in WinUAE 4.3.0, mouse control may seem sluggish, yet proves easy to use. A Game Boy version was also developed.

Music

The Atari ST original has no music at all. Fortunately, Stéphane Picq, then a professional programmer and only a hobby musician, was tasked with porting the game to the Amstrad CPC and Amiga and took the liberty to design his own soundtrack, possibly his first! It opens with an eerie song and continues with a quiet castle - perhaps too quiet, given the elaborate machinery in both the castle and the Amiga - save for the sliding screens and the ghost's witty noises. Most popular with reviewers were the ghost's wheeze, cough and angry babbling.

An Accolade version has been found, with additional unused sound effects, but no music.

Recording

The song was recorded from the title screen in WinUAE 4.3.0.
