Boss plays during all boss fights in Starship Hector.

The song was written by Takeaki Kunimoto on his Yamaha CX-7 MSX2 computer. The song was then given to Hudson Soft to implement into the game.

Unfortunately, this is the only song of the game left out of Kinoko Kunimoto History Vol.3: Meikyuu Hector. However, the album Famicom 20th Anniversary - Original Sound Tracks, Vol.2 gives the official title, ボス (Bosu), which literally translates to Boss.

Composition

The song is a fast-paced rock tune. It plays in the key of D minor at approximately 150 BPM.
