The Boss tune plays when you begin battling one of the boss robots.
In the first game, there are different tunes for the normal boss robots and the special bosses of the Dr. Wily stages, but Mega Man II uses the same track for all bosses.
The track appears on the official soundtrack album, from which the title is derived. It is track 18 in the NSF file.
