Barry Blum

Barry Blum is an American composer and sound designer. He is known for his work on the Might and Magic and Army Men series of games. He attended the College of Marin and Sonoma State University. He started with video game music in 1993 when he worked for Sega, primarily composing for the Sega CD and Sega Saturn consoles. While working there, he worked under David Javelosa. In 1996, he left Sega and started working for GameTek. He worked there and only composed a couple games for them. In 1999, he started working for The 3DO Company, and composed the music to several games of their hit series Army Men. Near the end of 2005, he worked with Pirate Games and scored the music a few of their games. In May 2003, he started working for Sonaltus Sound, which specialized in audio for media. He worked there nearly a decade before departing in February 2013.
Barry currently owns and operates SoundPOPaudio, an audio company that specializes in music and sound design for media, including video games.

Blum used GEMS.
N64
On Robotech: Crystal Dreams, Blum wrote MIDI music using Cubase.
At 3DO, Blum used Software Creations' N64 Sound Tools. While BatlleTanx: Global Assault used original sound driver by Software Creations, Army Men games used modified variations of same sound driver.
PC
Blum used Cubase. He also used music cues from Symphonic Adventures and Orchestral Colours sound libraries.
