Alf the First Adventure is the only arcade game starring Alf on a Commodore computer. It is reminiscent of Pac-Man.
Alf's Melmacian friends have crashed on earth, and cats have hidden the spaceship parts. In four levels, Alf must collect pizza to gain strength to catch four cats, then collect two parts, then the garage key, and put them one after another to Willie's garage. When the dog catcher catches Alf, Willie bails him out. After three bails in one level, Willie puts Alf on a leash and the game ends. When Willie catches Alf directly, the level restarts from scratch; only the bails and time are kept. After 24 hours, the game ends, too.
The C64 version is based on the DOS one, but much easier, even though the movement is very jumpy.

Music
Like in every other professional Alf game, no music from the shows is used. The C64 version features merely public domain songs (although Title is not yet recognized), mostly on one triangle wave. Perhaps for the better, since the developer did not even afford a musician to get most notes right.
Recording
All songs were recorded from the game in VICE 3.2 with C64C (NTSC). In-Game was played twice plus 10 seconds.

(No source. Game lacks audio credits.)
The title screen shows the names of Richard Hansen, Loren Hansen, and Kevin Scoles. Richard Hansen had already been solely credited for two C64 games with some of the same sounds. It still should be confirmed with the three who worked on sound.
Source verification is needed. |

Audio Devices
This game uses the computer's built-in SID chip and sounds the same on every one of them.
