The AdLib is a sound card for DOS-based computers which utilized a YM3812 (OPL2) sound chip capable of 9 distinct audio channels using FM Synthesis. It was released in 1987 with a software bundle that included 17 songs which have been recorded below. For additional details about the sound card, see the AdLib.
The AdLib software bundle included the AdLib Juke Box to play the included music. Later versions also included Bank Manager which could extract individual instrument definitions from a BNK file into an INS file or inject them into an existing BNK file.
The AdLib songs consist of three public domain titles, and 14 original titles from an unknown composer. They were most likely composed in the AdLib Visual Composer. A test program also included a simple scale tune that has been recorded as well.
