3 Voice Chipset

The 3 Voice Chipset is an audio protocol originally developed by Texas Instruments for their SN76489 chip line, but was emulated by other manufacturers. The following audio chips are 3 Voice compliant:

  • SN76489, SN76489N, SN76489A, SN76489AN, SN76494, SN76494N, SN76494A, SN76494AN, SN76496, SN76496N, SN76496A, SN76496AN
  • NCR 8496
  • PSSJ-3
