Favorites

I've added a new page called Editor's Favorite Songs. This will list the favorite songs for just the editors of this site so we can gauge the overall opinion of the community. Each editor is encouraged to vote for up to five songs per platform as their favorite. If you want to vote for an existing song, add your vote to the total, then add your user name to the comment in the edit code so we can keep track; for example:

2 <!-- Users: TheAlmightyGuru, YourNameHere -->

Of course, you're welcome to add a new song to the list too! I hope you'll join us in creating a list of favorites for each other and our guests! --TheAlmightyGuru (talk) 10:58, 2 February 2016 (MST)

M Format

Can you verify that the Worlds of Ultima games use MIDI format for music? I've been looking for a program that can extract the data files, but haven't had any luck so far. --TheAlmightyGuru (talk) 14:55, 7 February 2017 (EST)

I also don't know this exactly. I changed the info on the page ony because I saw some time age that binarymaster thinks that it's MIDI and it's not M format. Maybe he know something about it. Sorry if I did something wrong, I'm not good at programming such as un-archieving of the files and don't like to do it all. --M1911 (talk) 05:50, 8 February 2017 (EST)
No worries. I'll make a point of this on the page so that other editors know we're looking for some hard evidence. --TheAlmightyGuru (talk) 10:35, 8 February 2017 (EST)

José Rafael Cordero Sánchez

Hi! I would like to request a deletion of the José Rafael Cordero Sánchez article and its picture. José Rafael is a long term vandal that has published his autobiography everywhere he could have since 2011, wasting many volunteers' time. In this wiki, he has done the same in a promotion attempt. For more info, see the discussion in Wikipedia. --Jamez42 (talk) 17:58, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

  • Found some info here. Okay, I'll do it. The only problems is that i can't ban Arpolys, the creator of original page, but probably he won't do it next time. --M1911 (talk) 23:48, 14 June 2018 (EDT)

Unused songs in Wolfenstein 3D

Why are you adding the songs from Wolf 3D into the Unused category? --TheAlmightyGuru (talk) 21:20, 23 July 2018 (EDT)

GBA port + End of Level from SNES. In fact, some Genesis and Voxelstein 3D music also. Is it a case I should mark them as unused? --M1911 (talk) 23:57, 23 July 2018 (EDT)
If the song is included, but never played, in a commercially published port, it should be in the Unused category. So, yes for the unused songs in the Game Boy Advance port. But not for the self-published ports (Genesis, Atari, etc.) or fan games like Voxelstein. If we started taking every homebrew project seriously, all our categories would fill up with pages of minor significance. So, when you get a chance, please remove the tag for those songs not in a commercially published game. Thanks! --TheAlmightyGuru (talk) 13:57, 26 July 2018 (EDT)
Seems I only tagged GBA songs, not homebrew. But I'll take a better look later, when updating pages with new games. Thank you. P.S. Yes, only GBA. --M1911 (talk) 15:16, 26 July 2018 (EDT)

RoboCop (C64) tracks 2-5 not working

Do you have any idea what might be causing this issue? The first track works fine, and the file size and length are listed on the file pages, so they presumably uploaded correctly. --PDXmatt (talk) 03:24, 2 January 2019 (EST)

Unfortunatelly, no idea. Maybe it would be better to reapload it? --M1911 (talk) 04:02, 2 January 2019 (EST)
