Hello, here is something about me.
I'm the Russian person who goes by the real name Andrey Khmelnitskiy (Андрей Васильевич Хмельницкий), born in 5th December 1999. The nickname was simply taken after the gun, since I like guns, too.
Natively, I have ever owned only Windows machines (XP for 2004-2014, 7 for 2014-2019, and 10 since 2018), Java 2 Me (2008-2015), Android (since 2015) and Windows Phone 8 (2015-2018) mobile systems. Though I had some experience on Playstation 3 and PSP, too, they were owned by my friends. Thankfully, I could use emulators for other platforms. I still own my Windows Phone, even though it would possibly be a pain to launch something on it, while the Microsoft Store for it is probably long off.
I like not only the modern videogame music, but often also music from the past platforms, especially Commodore 64 sound. Among the games I prefer to play RPGs of many kinds, shooters, but something like arcade games, platformers, strategies is often my cup of tea.

Soundracks I've rendered
Also Doom (JAG) and SSI 2001 version of Ultima VI: The False Prophet (DOS), but they were only partial due to the lack of skill needed to beat the game for making the whole recording.

Game | Title | Sample | Comment |
---|---|---|---|
Arkanoid (C64) | Title - Cobra (ZXS) | |
Does not contain samples per se, only "clicks" done manually. |
Battle of Britain (C64) | Battle of Britain | |
Imitates the sound of airplane taking off (no digi) |
Bionic Commando PAL (C64) | Bionic Commando Loader | |
Attempts to imitate tom and conga drums (no digi) |
Bionic Commando PAL (C64) | The Forest | |
Between 0:38 and 1:42, an interesting filter kicks in |
Bionic Commando PAL (C64) | Bionic Commando Theme | |
1:08-1:16 is easily the most interesting part due to the same kind of filter |
Bionic Commando PAL (C64) | Ending - Bionic Commando PAL (C64) | |
"Cowbell" at the beginning, the way it manually fades out (no editing) |
Cybernoid II: The Revenge (C64) | Cybernoid II - Cybernoid II: The Revenge (C64) | |
|
Garrison (C64) | Title - Garrison | |
Digi drums + no-digi guitar solos |
Highlander (C64) | A Kind of Magic | |
Very good attempt to imitate bass and guitar. Sadly lacks drums. Was the song that made me Queen fan. |
Insects in Space (C64) | Insects In Space | |
0:00-1:06 imitates insects buzz (no digi). |
Insects in Space (C64) | Fanfare - Insects In Space (C64) | |
The most eerie Commodore 64 tune for me. DON'T listen to it in headphones turned up. Why an author wrote that?! |
Mechanicus (C64) | Main Menu - Mechanicus | |
One filtered channel attempts to imitate the guitar through the song. Otherwise sadly a bit bland. |
Nemesis the Warlock (C64) | Nemesis the Warlock (Song) | |
The intro has a very interesting backing "whoo-ah" sound effect on every other note. The best part for me is easily 2:50-3:30. |
Netherworld (C64) | The Purser Stole My Gun | |
The way digital guitar mixes with another digital guitar, digital drums and non-gigi voices. |
Top 5 song! Ocean Loaders (C64) | Ocean Loader 1 | |
The pacing. Pretty much the whole song. |
One Man and His Droid (C64) | Space Game - One Man and His Droid (C64) | |
0:00-0:32 for me are the best. |
Super Trolley (C64) | Main Menu - Super Trolley | |
The tone of the song. |
Top 5 song! Tetris (C64) | Title - Tetris (C64) | |
|
Wizball (C64) | Bonus Level 1 | |
The deep filtered bass. |
Wizball (C64) | Bonus Level 2 | |
Bass guitar. Sadly, it "clicks" sometimes in an unpleasant way. |
Wizball (C64) | Emptying Colours | |
One of the most eerie videogame melodies. Listening for it at nighttime often gives me goosebumps. |
Wizball (C64) | Game Over - Wizball (C64) | |
Also kind of eerie guitar solo. |
