Technotris was introduced to the BPS versions of Tetris. The song was composed by Goblin Sound team member Hiroshi Taguchi. The song is known for its fast tempo (approximately 150) and its bouncy bassline. The song is still used in games in the series to this day.
The liner notes of Tetris Game Music say of the song:
“
This song is one of the most popular BGMs for Tetris. It has a different arrangement than NEC's CD Takara Bako, which came out a while ago, and allows you to enjoy full-scale Technotris. It's a legitimate techno-pop arrangement that has a lot of fans, young and old alike, and it's a finish that makes you think it's a factor in the long-lasting popularity of Tetris.
