Tanigawa Kouji no Shougi Shinan (Koji Tanigawa's Shogi Teaching) were a series of video games by Pony Canyon, featuring the prolific Shogi player Koji Tanigawa.

谷川浩司の将棋指南Ⅱ 〜名人への道〜 (Koji Tanigawa's Shogi Teaching II: The Way to the Master)
This game feature 3 modes of play: 対局 (Game), 詰将棋 (Tsume Shogi), and 次の一手 (Next Move). In Game mode, you must triumph over the Shitenou (四天王 The Four Heavenly Kings) in a game of Shougi; Oshou Doronuma (泥沼和尚), Shizen Daiou (自然大王), Jizai Shougun (自在将軍). After defeating them, you must face Koji Tanigawa himself. Tsume Shougi is a traditional Shougi puzzler, where a certain situation is presented on the board and you must place the pieces in the correct positions on the board.
