Smash T.V. is an action game which is a home console port of the arcade game. In this game, you (and a friend) must go through three levels, each containing many stages as well as a boss at the end of each one. The main goal is to wipe out all of the enemies in each level to progress to the next one.

Music

The game has a very short soundtrack, especially for 1991. There are only four songs, one of them is unused, and the stage theme doesn't even loop. The stage theme and ending theme are ported from the arcade version composed by Jonathan Hey, and the other two songs (Game Over and Unused Song) were original songs composed by Marshall Parker. Marshall wrote the music in Music Macro Language using Brian Post's version of the Beam Software sound driver. The unused song sounds like it was meant to be for the title screen since there is no music there.

Credits

(Arcade, verification from Marshall; game lacks audio credits.)

When you beat the game, you are treated to credits. However, this is one of the many games which fails to mention any sort of audio credits. Marshall isn't sure why his name isn't in this version, though his name would later appear in the SNES version.

Ripping NES music is an arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site. The music was recorded in VirtuaNSF.
