Shinobu Amayake is a Japanese composer and sound designer who joined Nintendo in April 1990 and left in June 1994. In 2000, he started working for Yamaha Corporation and left in March 2006. She currently runs her own freelance music business AMK. Amayake currently resides in New York.

According to Shinobu, she entered music in assembly on a computer, which was converted to Akito Nakatsuka's sound driver since he was her boss.
