Platform: Atari 800
Year: 1991
Developer: Henryk Cygert

Saper is a realitively unknown game made by Henryk Cygert that was released for the Atari 800 computer. It's similar to Sokoban or Chip's Challenge because you have a playing field which must be cleared using strategy and forethought. "Saper" is the Polish word for a minesweeper, and in the game you control a minesweeper who must quickly set off mines and take cover from their explosions, but you have to detonate the mines in such a way that you're given safe passage to the exit. Although it came quite late in the videogame market (SNES and Genesis were already out), it's still a fun passive game to pass the time.

Music

Saper only has a single title track for music, but it's an interesting melody that sounds nice considering the quality of sound chip.

Ripping Atari 800 soundtracks is an arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
