Pit Theme is the song that plays in Days of Thunder (NES) when you're in pit road and have to manually repair your car. It was written by Tania Smith and plays at a tempo of 150 BPM.

Tania wrote the music in Brian Post's version of the NYNTH sound driver using Music Macro Language.

Composition

The song repeats the same phrase in different keys. It starts out in the key of B, then C#, then D#. Two beats before looping, the song plays an A and A#, which leads back to the beginning of the song.

Because the song plays at such a low volume, and there are several sound effects that play during the pit sequence, the song is hard to hear.
