Orpheus Hanley is an American composer and sound designer, with over 20 years in the game industry under his belt. He entered the video games industry in September 1990 when he started working at Sierra On-Line. There, he worked on music and sound for many of their computer games, and was also credited with many other of Sierra's sound team. In September 1993, he left Sierra to work at Midway Games' home console division. There, he served as a music and sound composer, as well as a dialogue editor and director. He usually ported soundtracks to the Nintendo 64 such as Cruis'n USA and Quake 64. In February 2000, Orpheus started working at Naughty Dog as an audio coordinator, but left shortly after in 2001. In February 2003, Hanley opened up his own sound business, Orpheussoundstation Interactive, which specializes in audio design for various media, mostly video games, where he still works to this day.

Music Composition

N64

Orpheus said this about the Cruis'n USA N64 soundtrack.

Vince Ponterelli, sent me the midi files, and of course I created a sound bank, and did the conversion one track at a time-sometimes reconstructing- of course the goal was to make it sound as original as possible- considering the space limitations.

Orpheus used a sound engine by Scott Patterson.
