Norio Nakagata was a Japanese composer who worked for various game developers. He started into the video game music world when he worked for Namco in 1985 and composed the music for some of their games. He later moved on to KID where he was their first sound designer. Later, he worked for Meldac and composed and directed one of their NES games Zombie Nation. After that, Norio started working for Kaze.

Norio is believed to have composed the RBI Baseball games, but this is not the case because the games credit different composers, mainly Zunko, an alias for Junko Ozawa.

The whereabouts of Norio are unknown, but he is probably retired from making video game music.
