The AdLib music of The NeverEnding Story II is compressed in the various data files of the game. It was extracted by Denis Julitov and placed in a wrapper file which he gave the extension, NES, and wrote a DOS player for the music. Currently, this is the only game known to use this format.
The music of The NeverEnding Story II was arranged by Michael Tschögl, he should be contacted for more information about the mechanics of the music. It has been suggested that the DOS music was ported from the Amiga release by a company called Sound Images. Perhaps some more information on the raw format can be gathered from them.
