Kirby's Avalanche |
Kirby's Avalanche is an Americanized port of a popular Japanese puzzle game "Puyo-Puyo". In this game, Kirby is trying to get the Dream Fountain Cup in the Avalanche tournament. Along the way, he plays against familiar foes from previous Kirby games. This game draws many similarities from Tetris Attack (SNES), in that they are Americanized ports of Japanese puzzle games, converted to famous video game characters, they're puzzle games, and their soundtrack is remixed music from other games.

Music
The music in Kirby's Avalanche took the original score from the NES version and improved it to meet SNES standards. Akiyoshi Nagao does a fantastic job arranging Hirokazu Ando's compositions. According to Akiyoshi and Taishow, the instruments were taken from Roland devices such as the TR-909, SH-101, and Juno-106. Akiyoshi said he composed the music originally as a MIDI file, then rewrote it by hand in Music Macro Language.
