Kennosuke Suemura is a Japanese composer, sound designer and sound programmer who was born in Nakano in 1966. Since 1996, he has been working professionally in music, scoring the music for various media including television, film, and video games.
He started dealing with music at a high school and went to the United States at the age of 20 to study abroad at the Musicians Institute. After returning to Japan, he began working as a freelance composer and sound creator, mainly in video game music and drama accompaniment music. He scored music for USP, and in 1995, he founded Studio PJ Co. Ltd. where he still works.
Though many of his works are well received from critics, Suemura came under controversy when working on Super Robot Taisen K and Super Robot Taisen W, which were accused of plagiarism. As a result, Suemura left the game industry, but in 2017, explained himself on the matter.
