You will hear the Introduction tune when you start a new game in the Japanese version of Contra (Gryzor). It plays in the background as you learn the story behind Red Falcon's infiltration of Earth. For some reason, this section of the game was not added to (or removed from) all other releases. This is the only song in the NES port of Contra that doesn't come from the original arcade game. The title is unofficial.

The melody is only 8 seconds long played over a bass line that is 16 seconds long. The 16 second tune is looped four times and finished off with a built-in 3 second fade out. So, while the song is pretty repetitious, it doesn't actually loop.
