In-Game is two trance tracks played during actual gameplay or attract mode.

Both tracks were recorded from the pre-Epic Games shareware game on a Pentium 60 MHz with a Sound Blaster 16 CT1740. Every couple of minutes, the game produces a loud click, so multiple recordings were made until no click could be heard.

Composition

The first track consists of 20 patterns named !a.snd to !t.snd and played at 8522.7 Hz in this order (line breaks added by VGMPF for legibility):

lllljjjkababdedemnmnghgisssstttt
aaabeeefopopghghmnmnghghscstscst
cacbcdceqrqrhhhhjkjkghgisbsbsbst
aeaendndncncnnnfsbsjsbskstststsi
adadbdbfrqrqhghgopophghistscstsc
abdeabdfotothhhisssjssskstskstsc.

If less than 600032 (pre-Epic Games release) or 550032 bytes (Epic version) of conventional RAM are free, the game replaces 6 patterns by others, resulting in this second track:

jjjjjjjjaaaaeeeemnmnhhhisssstttt
aaaaeeefopophhhhmnmnhhhhscstscst
cacacecerrrrhhhhjjjjhhhisasasast
aeaenenencncnnnfsasjsasjstststsi
aeaeaeafrrrrhhhhopophhhistscstsc
aaeeaaefotothhhisssjsssjstsjstsc.

The driver supports halfing the patterns, but the game does not use it.

The drums are recognizable from Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, and the bass also sounds like it.
