The song plays a 12-bar blues for most of the song with the following chords; C7, F7, C7, G7, C, and G. The first part of the song uses the lead instrument (maybe horns?) which harmonize with each other. On the first loop of the 12-bar blues portion, it switches to a solo of what sounds like pizzicato strings, which also harmonize with each other. On the second loop, the lead instrument along with the pizzicato-sounding instruments switch frequently. Then the song starts the bridge section, which starts out with an A7 and leads to a Dm.

The song plays at 180 BPM, which fits with the fast-paced action of Kevin constantly running from Harry and Marv. The song loops at 1:09, making it lengthy for an NES tune. However, since the player is running all over the map, and that the music changes depending on what part of the map they're on, it is unlikely for the player to hear the full tune.

Game Home Alone (NES)

House is the song that plays while the player character Kevin McAllister is in the McAllister house in Home Alone (NES).

George Sanger wrote the song on Sonix for the Amiga. The music file was then converted to Randy Linden's sound driver.

Composition

The song plays a 12-bar blues for most of the song with the following chords; C7, F7, C7, G7, C, and G. The first part of the song uses the lead instrument (maybe horns?) which harmonize with each other. On the first loop of the 12-bar blues portion (0:15), it switches to a solo of what sounds like pizzicato strings, which also harmonize with each other. On the second loop (0:31), the lead instrument along with the pizzicato-sounding instruments switch frequently.

At 0:47 the song starts the bridge section, which starts out with an A7 and leads to a Dm. During this part, the pizzicato strings motif the Title music, which also uses the same instrument. Also, during the rest of the song, the triangle channel rapidly switches between high notes for melody, and low notes for bass. Then the lead instrument comes in during an Eb and E major chord progression. At 0:58, the triangle continues the same kind of melody as before. Square 1 continues the lead instrument solo while Square 2 continues the pizzicato instrument. At this point, the chord progression goes as follows; F, Bb C, F, Eb, Ab, and then the last four bars on G. During the G chord, there is a short solo with the pizzicato instrument, and then the song loops.
