Henri Chalifour

Henri Chalifour is a Canadian composer and sound designer best known for his compositions for Ad Lib.
Before he entered the sound card industry, he released an electro-pop single in 1986 called, "Pylons", under the name Henry Volt.
In 1987, he joined Ad Lib and wrote some of the demo music for the AdLib Music Synthesizer Card and nearly all the demo music for the AdLib Gold 1000 sound card. When Ad Lib declared bankruptcy in 1992, Chalifour went to work for Mediatrix Peripherals Inc., where he continued to write new demo music for the AudioTriX series sound cards.
2004 saw the release of his latest album, Technautoroute, an album "designed to be a personalized soundtrack for highways". Interestingly enough, one of his first compositions for Ad Lib is entitled, "Highways".
He lists Wendy Carlos, Vangelis, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream as his major influences.

Aliases
"Henry Volt" is one of his known aliases. Also his last name was sometimes misspelled, leaving out the "h" in Chalifour, being credited as Henri Califour.
