Harumi Fujita (no relation to Yasuaki Fujita) is a Japanese composer and sound effects creator best known in the video game community for her work at Capcom. Fujita was born in Tondabayashi-shi, Osaka, Japan, attended high school at Mihara, Osaka Prefectural High School, and graduated in 1980. She then attended college at the Osaka Sogo College of Design and graduated in 1984.
Fujita began working at Capcom around 1985. There, she composed the soundtracks for numerous game and collaborated with several other composers. She left Capcom around 1990 to become a freelance composer. She continued working in video game industry as a composer until around 1999.
She now composes music for stage performances and does audio consulting. She currently lives with her family in Ibaraki-shi, Osaka, Japan, and her cat.
