Exciting Basket (エキサイティング バスケット Ekisaitingu Basuketto also known as Exciting Basketball) is the Japanese version of the infamous Double Dribble (NES). It is basically the same game except it's on the disk system rather than the Famicom itself, and the FDS' extra sound channel increases the fidelity of the music.
The game does not feature the official basketball teams or player names. Instead, you select Boston, New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles. You can choose between a 5, 10, 20, and 30-minute time limit for the periods, and a skill level between 1 and 3.

Music
The music in Exciting Basket is very well composed. The music is taken from Double Dribble, but the Disk System's channel increases the music quality. The only downside is that there's only five songs while there were more in the USA version. Even the Star Spangled Banner is missing from the Disk System version.

Like it's USA counterpart, the game does not have credits. After you beat the game, you are treated to a one-screen ending and are then prompted to switch disk sides, which will then take you back to the menu. The NSF file lists "Fujio" as the composer. Atsushi Fujio is credited in Exciting Soccer and Exciting Billiard which both share similar music. We are still awaiting verification from Atsushi. It is possible the credits are hidden in the game's ROM.
