ESP Ra.De. (ARC)
ESP Ra.De. (エスプレイド) is a vertically scrolling manic shoot-'em-up developed in 1998 by Cave. It is the first of Cave's shooters that isn't a part of the DoDonPachi series, and it plays rather different from the series as well: besides the obvious change of metal ships to psychic people, the game also replaces a normal bomb system with force fields and features a special piercing shot that helps lead to higher scores.

ESP Ra.De., much like Masahiro Kusunoki's other Cave soundtrack, Guwange, features a rather interesting and different kind of soundtrack from Cave's other games. It features mostly electronica, and most of the soundtrack holds up well on its own although it can all get rather repetitive over time due to each song being so short. It all is much more interesting when played alongside the game itself, and each song fits their respective areas ridiculously well. All-in-all it's a nice listen, although it may not be one to stay around for a super long time without getting old.
And for anyone wondering, the "Ra.De." in the game's title does stand for "Raging Deicide", which is also the name of the game's boss music.
