Dragon Slayer IV: Drasle Family (ドラゴンスレイヤーIV ドラスレファミリー) is the fourth game in the Dragon Slayer series. This game was released for the MSX and MSX2, and although the are noticeable changes to the map and graphics between the MSX and MSX2 releases, the music is identical, so this page covers both.

It is a platformer adventure featuring many power-ups, items, and monsters. The game revolves around a family of dragon slayers who have just discovered that the dragon their ancestors froze in stasis is about to awake, and they must prepare to battle it to the death. The family consists of the father, mother, son, daughter, and their pet. Each has special skills necessary to collect the items to battle the dragon.

Without the instruction manual, the objective is difficult to ascertain, and the huge underground labyrinth requires a lot of trial and error to figure out.

The soundtrack has a quite creative and catchy feeling that is fitting to the cartoonish style of the game.

The MSX version credits both Yuzo Koshiro and Mieko Ishikawa for music, while the NES version credits only Koshiro. The MSX also has additional music and different music from the NES version, however, both versions of the game would have been developed in tandem, so it's difficult to assign credit to either composer, and both should be asked about their involvement in the soundtrack.
