David Martin and Chris Grigg worked as C64 developers at Waveform Corporation. When Waveform folded in 1985, they co-founded the partnership Future Arts, which an acquainted Atari developer introduced to Lucasfilm Games. There, Martin provided Additional Creative Support on Habitat (C64).

Martin used a sound driver (programmed by Randy Farmer with additional design by Chris Grigg for Habitat) and an unidentified music driver (built upon Farmer's sound driver).
