Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is a famous piece that features a rare keyboard instrument piece, the celesta, meaning 'Heavenly' in French. Tchaikovsky wrote Dance of the Sugar Plum fairies because of this instrument and wanted to be the first one to write a song using the celesta. The piece is made famous from the play known as 'The Nutcracker'.
