Platform: Amiga
Year: 1992
Developer: Idea

Clik Clak is a puzzle game where your job is to install clocks into 12 world monuments. You are given gear wheels at random sizes and must insert them onto pegs in order to connect the red wheels already fixed. At the same time, the engine is heating and two pests hop around unscrewing the pegs and rusting the wheels. You have a limited supply of shots to chase away the pests, bombs to remove misplaced wheels, and oil to derust. Bonus coins can be won to stock up the supply, but points are deducted for unconnected wheels. Other problems have to be solved by hurrying.

The game is humorous and cute, especially after completing a level, when an animated photo of the improved world monument is shown.

In the original release, level 6 cannot be solved due to an unreachable red wheel. This was fixed in the US release, Gear Works.

Music

The pop music and piano cues are driving, bouncy and suit the samples, although many of them are recognizable from Ultimate Soundtracker (AMI) and may feel cold. The songs and the music driver use only 3 voices, while the game uses the 4th for sound effects.

Some of the songs are also used in the Commodore 64 and DOS versions, whereas some have been replaced by others. The titles are unofficial and numbered uniquely among the three versions. The in-game song is changed every level, in the same order as in the table below. It is unknown which platform's music was done first.

To the completion photo and the ending, no music is played.

Recording

All songs were recorded from WinUAE 3.6.1 with the default configuration, except for the stereo separation set to 100%, like on a real Amiga, and the sound effect data filled with zeroes.
