This page is for the Microsoft WIndows 32 version. For other games in the series, see Call of Duty.

Call of Duty is a first-person shooter war game originally for Microsoft Windows 32 developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision in all regions of the world with Windows 2000 and ME computers in 2003 then without release on other types of systems.

2015. Inc. (former employees who created Infinity Ward Studios), which simulates WWII combined arms infantry. Based on the id Tech 3 engine, the game is a first-person war shooter set in the most intense battles of World War II.

In Call of Duty, players will play American, British and Russian soldiers and will face German forces in different parts of Europe, such as Stalingrad, the Ardennes or Bokage.

The game's graphics feature very realistic details that used the Quake III: Arena (W32) engine as a base, such as the fact that each soldier's face is different from the others. In Call of Duty, the scenarios are huge and almost all of them are outdoors, with terrains and landscapes worthy of admiration.

The resulting flexibility of movement is an important point in its favor. There are two methods of aiming weapons. One starts from the hips, as in other games of the genre, and the other starts from the shoulders, for those who want to put themselves completely in the shoes of the soldiers they control.

At the beginning of each campaign (USA, UK and USSR) there is an explanation of the situation in which the soldiers of the protagonist will find themselves in Call of Duty; this explanation is accompanied by real maps and photos of the Second World War (courtesy of Bringing a new level of quality and historical accuracy to the game. To top it off, there is also a video at the end with photos taken during the conflict. If your enemy soldier is near you, you can hit him with your weapon whatever it is.

The game was the most graphically gigantic for the time where it came out, it was critically acclaimed as an all time best seller, as a very graphically powerful game to run on various Windows computers of the time.

Michael Giacchino was the official author of the game's soundtrack, and even ported it to Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3's PlayStation Network. An Official Soundtrack was created which did not include a track called "Age of War" (movie intro) music by Justin Skomarovsky only at the start of the video.

This soundtrack took advantage of what was DirectX and the Windows Media Player API to play its music with CD quality in a packaged format called PKG.

This would only use 13 soundtracks that would be used in a specific way in different campaigns that the game offers, these would be divided in enough missions by campaigns, which makes that the game does not reach the 1.5 GB of occupying space.

The same year 2003 would be released Call of Duty Official Soundtrack Sampler in CD distribution with which only would count with 13 tracks of its official version of the game in double disc.
