Many newer games use digital audio that plays directly from the CD using Red Book CD audio. CD audio is in raw pulse code modulation at a sampling rate of 44.1 KHz. Because the format is basically a 1-to-1 rip into WAV, and because we don't want to store cumbersome raw audio files, only the Vorbis recordings of the CD audio will be stored online.
