Bass Bag (Album Version) is one of the 10 different songs that are played during a regular game. It is the sixth track that is played. The tracks are played in sequence starting from Shamburger and ending with Tazer, at which point the list starts over from the beginning.

The track was composed by Stephen Rippy using a Boss DSS-330 synthesizer and an E-mu ESI-32 sampler. Finally, the mixing and editing was done using SoundForge.

There was another mix of the song produced called Bass Bag (Single Mix), which used slightly different instruments. This version was eventually used to produce a MIDI version of the song. While the MIDI version did not end up getting used in the demo version of the game, it eventually resurfaced in the demo version of Age of Empires II: The Conquerors (W32).

The song title has been confirmed by Stephen Rippy.
