Bart vs. the World is the sequel to Bart vs. the Space Mutants. In this game, you play as Bart Simpson, who has won a contest. However, the contest was set up by Mr. Burns in order to dispatch the Simpsons. Bart will travel to a Chinese pirate ship, the Arctic, Egypt, a pirate ship, and a horror movie set, each housing one of Mr. Burns' family members who serve as the boss of a level. Also, there are several minigames for each level such as a sliding puzzle. The player must also find all the Krusty heads in each level to get the "good" ending.

Music

Andi McGinty's score for the Amiga and Atari ST versions of Bart vs. the World are a huge step up from the Sega Master System and Game Gear version that he scored around the same time. There is a song for each major section in the game, as well as title screen, cutscene, and invincibility music. Andi wrote the music in Protracker for the Amiga, using samples of an unknown source, but possibly from Soundtracker.

The song names come from the game's MOD files. The Amiga and Atari ST versions share the same composer, thus the same soundtrack. The only exception to this is Bartman, which is different on both the Amiga and Atari ST versions. Also, some of the songs in the Amiga are played in a different key than the Atari ST version. There is also the obvious fact that the Amiga can easily surpass the Atari ST version's fidelity, as it uses a better soundchip.

The MOD files also have endings to the songs, but they are never used in-game.

Credits

(Source: Game lacks credits.)

The game does not have credits, which is interesting, seeing that the Sega Master System version, also developed by the same company had credits. The game's instruction manual should be checked for credits.

Andi wrote for other Arc Developments titles for the Amiga around the same time, including McDonaldland and WWF European Rampage Tour, both of which he is credited in.
