Platform: NES
Year: 1988
Developer: TOSE Co., Ltd.

Bandai Golf: Challenge Pebble Beach is a golf simulator game developed by TOSE and published by Bandai. It was one of the first golf games to be developed by a third-party company. The game takes place at the infamous golf course of Pebble Beach, California. The game gives you eighteen courses to play, to which the game refers to as the most difficult courses you'll ever play, which is not true. The game also advertises its spectacular graphics and features that were already included in earlier golf titles at the time. At the end of the day, it's just a run-of-the-mill golf game like the others. It's not a bad game, but there's nothing special about it that makes it stick out.

Music

The game really lacks in the music department. There is only one song that plays in a majority of the game, and you'll either grow to love it or hate it. It can be either really catchy since it's well-composed, or it can be really annoying since you'll be hearing it throughout the whole game.

Since this game was developed by TOSE, a company which didn't believe in giving credit in most of their titles, it should come as no surprise that this game is a part of the huge list of TOSE-developed games without credits. The title music sounds identical to a song used in NES Play Action Football, so Akihito Hayashi has been listed as the composer. Most of the games he composes uses an identical drum loop in some songs.
