The NES port didn't have the impressive graphics seen in some of the other ports, but they did a good job converting the music (or as close as you can get using the NES's audio capability). The original music composers were not credited in the NES port. The soundtrack is very small using a mere six tracks, but the music is pretty catchy, especially Stage, Type 2. The Japanese version of the game does not contain credits but the USA version does. Even though he is credited as I. Uchida, Takafumi says his real name is Junichi Uchida. The music was written in hexadecimal code.

Platform: NES
Year: 1989
Developer: Data East Corporation
Buy: Amazon

Bad Dudes is a platform beat-em-up where you play a, get this, bad dude, who must beat up a bunch of ninjas that kidnapped the president (best plot EVER!). The NES port is based off the quarter-draining arcade machine. You can choose between two different fighters, one meant to look like Bruce Lee, the other like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but they play exactly the same. Like the NES port of Double Dragon (NES), the quality of the game was severely degraded by taking away the simultaneous 2-player.

Even though the game was developed in Japan, the Japanese release does not have credits, so the game designers probably decided to put a staff roll in before the USA version was released.

Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site. The rip contains sound effects. The recording was made using Not So, Fatso!.
