Ayako Sasō is a Japanese composer who worked at Namco. She joined the company in 1989 and started composing for their arcade games, most notably Ridge Racer and Rolling Thunder 2. Here, she would meet Shinji Hosoe, who works closely with her to this day. She is also part of Sampling Masters alongside Hosoe, and previously Nobuyoshi Sano and Takayuki Aihara. In 1996 she left Namco to join Arika alongside Hosoe and Aihara. Four years later, the trio left Arika as Hosoe formed SuperSweep, which Saso is currently part of although Aihara did not join.
