Arch Rivals: The Arcade Game (GG)
|Arch Rivals: The Arcade Game|
Arch Rivals is a basketball game based on the arcade game Arch Rivals by Midway. The game works as a normal 2-on-2 basketball game, except you can attack your opponents. There are four 4-minute periods. The goal of the game is to get the highest score by the end of the game. The Game Gear version of Arch Rivals was programmed by Byron Nilsson, with graphics by Gary Tonge, programming support by Julian Scott, and music and sound effects by Mark Cooksey. Arc Developments also developed the Genesis version.

The game's soundtrack is ported from the arcade version composed by Dan Forden. It was converted to the Game Gear by Mark Cooksey. According to Mark, he wrote the music in Notator for the Atari ST and converted them to his sound driver. Mark also ported the music to the Genesis version.
