'''A Kind of Magic''' is the first track of the [[Queen]] album with the same name. The song was composed by [[Roger Taylor]] from a line in the movie that was cut out of the theatrical release. While the song was not actually featured in the first ''Highlander'' movie (only partially in the titles), some of the samples were used in the song. The track is still closely tied to the Highlander franchise because it is used in ''Highlander II: The Quickening'' and the ''Highlander'' TV series.

Highlander (C64)

Martin Galway arranged A Kind of Magic for the Commodore adaptation of the movie Highlander. The song continues on repeat through the entirety of the awful game. Galway said it took him two days to complete the cover. Martin Galway did an amazing job accurately porting the tune, even including the guitar solo from the original. This version has loops.

This song can be found on the Project: Galway album. It is the first and only track in the SID file.

Lyrics

Although no game features lyrics, the original song had them (sung by Freddie Mercury).

It's a kind of magic
It's a kind of magic
A kind of magic

One dream one soul one prize one goal
One golden glance of what should be
It's a kind of magic

One shaft of light that shows the way
No mortal man can win this day
It's a kind of magic

The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time
It's a kind of magic

The waiting seems eternity
The day will dawn of sanity
Is this a kind of magic
It's a kind of magic

There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done

This flame that burns inside of me
I'm here in secret harmonies
It's a kind of magic

The bell that rings inside your mind
Is challenging the doors of time

It's a kind of magic
It's a kind of magic

The rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be will soon be
Will soon be done

This is a kind of magic
There can be only one
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be done-done

Magic - it's a kind of magic
It's a kind of magic
Magic magic magic magic

Ha ha ha, it's magic

It's a kind of magic
