180 is a darts simulator created by Binary Design. You can play 501 against your pal, or three finalists played by the computer, one tougher than the other, or tune up in Around the Clock descending. You must beat every finalist twice. The hand is moved diagonally by joystick, with directions tilted 45° to the left. Uniquely to the Amstrad CPC version, you can see your rating and choose a color set out of 3. Also, aiming feels more difficult.

Music
The CPC game features 180's standard jolly soundtrack, except that Title is unused, and Waiting plays instead. When you score 100 or more in a round, you hear noise, probably applause. In the main menu and when you score 180, someone shouts "One hundred eighty!" -- through your Amstrad's PSG!

- Not Credited Composer: Unknown
- Not Credited Arranger: Unknown
- Not Credited Programmer: Unknown
- Not Credited Vocalist: Pete Gartside
(No arranger source. Game lacks credits. CPC-POWER credits Jason Brooke, which is questionable, as Brooke said he only got to write music in 1987, and CPC-POWER doesn't credit a programmer or artist, suggesting they guessed from other sources. The composer is also being speculated. Gartside was credited on 180 (C64), and while his shout differs on the CPC, his voice remains recognizable.)
Source verification is needed. |
Game Rip
This rip is missing songs. |
No AY rip is known, but you can listen to the one from 180 (ZXS), if you don't mind that it's two semitones lower and Waiting was not arranged for it.
Audio Devices
This game uses the computer's built-in AY-3-8912 chip.
Releases
Three different versions are known. A few bugs were fixed. Most fatally, in the first two versions, the final dart in 501 was allowed to land in the outer bullseye, but not in the inner.
